In a non-smoker, Over 90% of the time, chronic
cough is due to one or more of the following three conditions.
1) Post-nasal drainage
2) Cough Variant Asthma
3) Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD)
Our office is uniquely set up to evaluate
patients for the first 2 causes right here in the office.
Determination of GERD is more difficult, and
usually involves either a therapeutic trial of medications, or more
specialized evaluation by a Gastroenterologist.
